Grabbed a knuckle with one on a bench grinder once upon mamy years ago. Ouch!

Never thought about using one to strip paint, hmmmm.....I like my knuckles.

I did use a wirewheel in a Dremel once - on a Con-Cor metal TOFC car.  A brass brush took the paint off without damaging the zinc alloy(?) body, after the hardware store paste paint remover failed.   They don't sell the liquid kind anymore. 

"Nobody wants it.  They want the paste, because it sticks to the parts better". 

I don't need it to stick to the part.  I can soak the part IN the liquid!
