Changing side frames on RS1 trucks

I'm trying to replace a set of RS1 (China) roller bearing truck side frames with friction bearing frames. Is there an easy way to get the gear tower out of the existing frames? I'm concerned that I may break something.
Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,

There are 4 tabs that clip the gear tower to the truck frame, on the underside of the truck. Using a small flat head screwdriver, you can pop the clips off one by one until the frame comes free of the tower. Hope this helps.
