Missouri Pacific 2503xx series boxcars

I've looked on every railroad photo site I have bookmarked and can't find a photo of this series.  Can anyone tell me if
1:   2503xx is a valid MP series.
2:   this is an accurate model of that series.

Thank you.

in the "Missouri Pacific Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment" page 47, is a photo of 250793, from series 250600-250898. Car looks reasonably close to model (has double doors).  Caption says this was a renumbering of cars 90000-90299. Series 250350-250547 was an M-I assigned series, after being renumbering into MP master system.  These cars look the same, but only have one door.  Thus car looks reasonable for MP, but the number is wrong.

OK, thank you!  I found pictures of the 250600-250899 series, but never one of the 250350-250547.  Maybe because I was looking under MP and not MI?

I bought three for a kitbashing project, and only need two, unless something goes wrong.  If everything works, I might renumber the extra.  The sidesill is quite different, though, so maybe not.

It looks like ExactRail did MP like they did the NP, and used a late 60s Plate C car to model a 1950s Plate B.  The NP's 6000-6499 series had a straight sidesill, though, and looked closer than the MP cars.

MI series referenced above is also built by Pullman-Standard; pretty normal looking PS-1 product. Ends, roof, side sill are all different from the GBEC car represented by the Exactrail model, not just the door.

Not sure about other MP series that may or may not actually match the model car.

Fwiw exactrail calls it a "heritage" scheme

cv_acr:  NOW I know why that MI car looked familiar!  I have one of them.  Athearn made that car, with its original MI number, and I renumbered mine 250417.  And, yes, I had found the pictures before, by looking under MI instead of MP.

Looks like my extra will remain an extra for now.

Thank you, everybody.
