An undecorated SW1500 shell.  Interesting.

An undecorated SW1500 shell.  Interesting.

On the Micro-Trains site, it says the SW1500 shell Includes:

    Shell, cab, and deck.
    All side rails and grabs.
Smokestacks, horn, bell, and MU boxes.
    Cab window inserts.
    Two assembled couplers.
Two new AAR Type-A truck frames.
    Instructions.

Hmm... what?!, no
frame...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

Sounds like you only need the LifeLike SW1200 chassis/trucks to make a fully functional SW1500?

Is the PRR double plug prototypical?
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Close but a lot of difference in the sill http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/prr/prr90226ags.jpg I will get one as its close enough. The Pennsy car is an ACF so the sill is like the Atlas 60' auto parts car. By the way I would like to see MTL do the GTW scheme on this car 8) and N&W.

Fuel tank?

...and contact strips? Maybe it has them but could be an issue if it doesn't.

I might bite for one of those PRR cars.

Anyone know if they lasted through to the CR era?

Oh, and still sad no CR 1500s yet! I'm hoping December?

I'll need two shells to convert some SW1200 chassis I have laying around.

MRAPs.... too late for me but I'll toss them into the collection.

Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Whilst on the topic here of the SW chassis. Does anyone have a link to any articles about dealing with those POS contacts on the frame! :x I do recall someone having some type of solution but I'm not finding anything in any searches.
