Does anybody know if any Reading RR passenger cars were ever made or will be made?

I don't recall any cars being sold for the Reading, not even Con Cor.

The Morning Sun book, "RDG Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment" shows some of the cars they had.  Also check out the site: http://www.readingrr.com Most passenger cars appear to be unique enough that the "experts" would have a fit if a manufacturer painted a standard model with "Reading Company" on the letter board.   And it's likely someone would tool up a car just for the 5 N scale modelers who might buy them.  Perhaps someone will use 3D printing eventually.

Reading depended on RDCs in the later years, but those were even different enough that Kato didn't offer N scale RDCs in Reading Paint.  (I lettered my own).

Since IHPHobby is making some Reading electrics at Shapeways, maybe they’ll expand.

Majority of the Reading’s steel passenger car fleet were Harlan & Hollingsworth design. H&H became part of Bethlehem Shipbuilding. The basic style was used on the CNJ, but with different trucks.  Boston & Maine acquired a sizeable fleet of ex-Reading cars as well.  A lot of shortlines purchased them second hand for excursion fleets, so the possibilities for a market would seem to be there.

It would be nice to see them in plastic though.  I’d really like to have some of the 1948 modernized cars 2000 series cars with the larger windows and skirting.

One could make a foob "Crusader" train using the old Trix now former Model Power Obs cars (one at each end) and the coaches. Two problems, the cars are short leingth, but longer than the old Arnold Rapido shortie cars, and no one has done the distinctive shrouded steam locomotive, although F Units later pulled this consist.  Then again undecorated Con Cor Budd cars might just work better. Nate Goodman (Nato).
