Just curios about that table nailed to the wall ;)
Ah, the spindles question.

It is not a table but rather a built in desk/shelves wall unit through which I burrowed (much to my wife's chagrin, but part of the I own the loft if we buy the house deal) and used to create 3 (future) scenes/"dioramas".

The first copies a bridge leading to 30th street station (I refuse to use its new name (for a politician)) and allows me to get 7 tracks (in 10") over the computer desk. (It does a pretty good job hiding 3 of the tracks.)

The second will be a super small representation of the Philadelphia 30th Street Station area (the station tracks will have no connection to the layout).

The third will attempt to represent the beautiful Manayunk bridges across the Schuylkill River.

Late to the party and can't save it for this weekend as I will be working the Brampton, Ontario Train show all weekend (come drop by Rapido and say hi..) This is the first of three or four ATSF 50's I want to do. These were commonly seen in photo's of corrugated containers plants in BC in the 70's, carrying coated linerboard from mills in places like Beaumont Tx. to the north for beer cartons and other graphic packaging.

This is a "sort of" BX66 from a small make of 17 cars with early 1954 DF equipment. I used Micro scale decals on a stock MT 50'. I added the fork plates on the bottom and scribed the re-enforcing panels in beside the door. I weathered per a picture in a Santa Fe boxcar book I have. The panel size isn't correct for the BX 66 but "I'll live with it". The wheels were replaced with metal sets that still need to be weathered and it needs a Car Trak placard.

One down !
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!
