Hello David,

We had talked about this great project in Roanoke (I am the guy with the funny German Accent...)

If you indeed decide to make it 3 separate kits (my recommendation) I would not make them smaller than the one you have already build. The size and proportions are just about perfect for a large, rail-served industry.

Maybe you could indicate cut lines on the back of the walls if someone wants to build a slightly smaller version.

I will probably build another FREMO America-N module just to build your kit!

I just wanted to say that I think you should keep it the same size as your pilot model as well. That size "looks" right, I think people looking for something smaller might be able to get by with just one or two modules as opposed to all three.

The longest module will only be 9", so no problem!

I've never really cared or even noticed about the small size of industries as they are modeled until I stared using the aerial imagery from Google and Bing.  The industry size relationship to freight cars was eye-opening, and model industries now look funny to me (especially HO scale Walthers kits).

That is a very cool kit!  Sugar beets were a huge industry here in Colorado, with the Great Western Railway (from which Strasburg's 2-10-0 #90 came) making a great modelgenic prototype.

I definitely tried to make this the same size as the prototype and it is pretty big. It's about 160' long.

I am going to make a hard promise, that I will have pictures of the first run-through of module #1 by Sunday. It is an all-brick version. I found several things to be ironed out for run through #2, a concrete and brick combination.
