after regular Iceing stopped about 1972 the Custumer would be
responsible for Iceing thier loaded cars.
most shippers switched to Mechanical Cars,or Refrigerated Trailers.
and many of those trailers stayed on roads,so RRs lost a bit of traffic
by closing down the Iceing Platforms.
some roads were somewhat glad to see the Meat traffic go,as almost every
car of meat would have claims against the RRs.
