Wow!! I need all my models to be built with that stuff!  Just shoot with a hairdryer and my fumble finger goofs are gone!

Used to use heat to return urethane bumpers to their original shape. 3M structural adhesive would fill and glue tears. Hard part was keeping paint on them. That shouldn't be a big issue for model trains.

Flexible boilers, that is something new. Just kidding! It certainly looks very interesting. Is it correct that the small details are less likely to break of?

Well, only under certain conditions, such as low temp and only for an hour after being in the mold will the Urethane behave like this.  But it sure makes it easy to remove from the mold.  The urethane sets up after an hour and will not behave the same.  But its very difficult to damage small details :D
