These tenders will allow me to complete my model of the 2002 excursion train that went through Minnesota. I used mostly Kato COLA cars -

Excellent! Standing by for the pre-rebuild versions, however. :D

EDIT: Hey, Mark... wouldn't 2002 be pre-rebuild? That project was just in the past few years, wasn't it? 2007? 2008?

Yes, I'm also going to get the pre-rebuilds when they become available. In the meantime, these will work as stand-ins.

...

However, Archer N-scale resin rivet decals have made replacing rivets not that big a deal anymore, although they're a little pricey at over $17 bucks for a teeny sheet of 'em.

Here's a little sample on my Lincoln Highway Bridges at Echo I kitbashed.  The lines of rivets on top of the nearest brigde are Archer Resin Rivet decals.

Only thing is, believe the instructions which tell you they don't stick to bare Styrene.  Primer first.

At first, they don't stick well to bare styrene.  But if you apply them and then brush some Solvaset over them,
they melt down and will stick quite nicely to just about anything,
even bare brass.  I put them on bare metal and plastic and they hold.  They certainly won't stand up to scraping with
a fingernail, but they hold quiet well enough so that you can get your paint on and they will stay put forever after that.

I always put Solvaset on them anyway, so that there is no chance of the decal film around the rivets showing though the paint.

Hmm... I would like one
million bananas, please...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
