Micro Trains Halloween Cars Question

When did these start becoming an "annual" car? The first I can figure out is the 2010 with the Great Pumpkin. Was there any before this car?

I have the 4 cars that I know of, was just curious if there was any before that I should be on the lookout for.

I also realize they have two different Halloween sets out too. Steam and Diesel version.

I think you have them all.  I'm pretty sure the CITX hopper was first.  The only other "Halloween"-ish car is a NS boxcar that is included with the NS Weathered set they have available, it has 2 ghost/monkey looking things on it.

That's what I figured, and unfortunately I doubt I ever get the double grim reaper NS boxcar from the weathered NS set as not many people break up sets anymore, though if it was ever offered I would probably get it as well. I definitely like it better than the 2011 NS Skull Halloween car that's for sure.

I just wish they'd stay with prototype cars like the first one.  Plenty of examples out there to go off of

Wouldn't it be nice if MT commissioned some real tagger (um, graffiti artist) to draw all the graffiti artwork for their weathered cars?  That way the artist would be legally tagging model cars, without breaking any laws or defacing someone's property. He would also be famous in modeling circles.

I agree wholeheartedly there. If they were provided samples of legit cars with ones they make, I wonder if they would consider it.

Maybe you could re-run that car as a monthly single
