Anyone Going To Harbor Freight?

Looking online at Harbor Freight, I see they have a set of micro drill bits for sale but they are being sold in-store only.  The closest store to me is about 800 miles away.  If anyone is planning a trip to one of their stores in the near future and would be willing to pick these up and mail them to me, please let me know.   I will see if that store has the bits and make arrangements to get payment to you.  Thanks much.

I'm sure you could find something similar on eBay or Amazon.   Harbor freight usually has good stuff at good prices but it's rarely special.

I was looking at these:

http://www.harborfreight.com/20-piece-solid-carbide-micro-bit-grab-bag-44924.html

I have some I got from Railflyer so I know all about how easily they break (: That's why I'm looking for some more.   I re-ordered from Railflyer back in September but, for some reason, he is refusing to fill the order.  Other people are experiencing the same problem so I would be a bit leery of ordering anything from Railflyer.

Anyway, if anyone is going to a Harbor Freight store, please let me know as I do need these bits.

I also, almost exclusively, use carbide drill bits. Just the other day, as crazy as it sounds, was freehand drilling some holes using #85 carbide bit. No, I didn't break it.   :D

There are many sources of inexpensive carbide bits.  No need to limit yourself Harbor Freight. I often buy mine on eBay. When I wand some specific sizes, I use https://www.drillbitcity.com/Default.asp > Their resharpened bits are quite affordable (and like-new).

What sizes are you looking for?  Few years ago I bought several large batches on eBay and I could let some of them go (in boxes of 50) for a really good price.

I'm not particular to Harbor Freight.  I just found they had the best selection of the sizes I need.  And, thanks for the offer Pete.  I'll check my stash and let you know which ones I'm short of.

Doug, you did see that they are selling a grab bag of random sizes? You may not get the sizes you want.

If you are talking about this set with the small metal case:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-20pc-Micro-Drill-Bits-Index-61-80-w-Metal-Box-US-DOMESTIC-FAST-FREE-SHIPPING-/270962704048?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f16a2beb0#ht_743wt_1124
I'd pass. I have several of them and they aren't very nice.

I agree with Chris, these suck a big one. I purposely break them, then launch them into the sun with a large slingshot to save all modeling posterity from the agony of using them.

Doug, I found the website where you can buy small quantities of individual size TC bits and sent you that info a PM. I hope that you received the PM (since I didn't hear back from you).

If others here are interested, it is http://drillcity.stores.yahoo.net/ (I was pointed to that website a while ago by one of the TRW members).

If you're hell bent on the Harbor Freight bits, I'll be happy to grab some for you.  There's one about a mile from my house, and about 2 miles from where I work.   Just PM me.  If I'd seen this earlier I would have grabbed them today...I braved the ice storm here in Dallas to go to the post office and it's right next to the HF.
