Scale Link Ltd bare tree frames..

Has anyone made trees from the Scale Link Ltd bare tree frames; this company is out of England and I'm guessing not that well known, at least in the tree structure crowd, hoping I'm wrong.  I have link to pictures of the bare tree frames.  The reason I'm asking is the process looks very fiddly and is the end results worth it.

I almost always test a link after I have posted and it worked yesterday, but today I'm getting the same results, no pics.  I was actually being lazy I was going to take a pic of my Scale Link Bare Trees and post it.  However with our Vancouver Train show coming up on the 9th and 10th of November (notice how I sneak in an advert) literally starting one week tomorrow, I up to my assets in alligators currently.  I'll see if I can take a pic or two and post it sometime in the next day or two.

PS: The link some one else posted works, what I did was do a search using the site search engine and typed in "Bare Tree Frames."

I'm not too impressed with the results, and I think with a Polly-fibre support, along with a combination of coarse ground foam and Noch leaves, you might get a better looking tree.  Hey, they offer actual etched leaves and branches!  Maybe that'd do the trick.

The big seller for me is not only the inherent detail and being able to control the tree form, but also the assumed durability, which is especially important for me with my portable layout.  I'm sure an etched brass tree-chassis is going to be much more forgiving than my usual glued-together-twigs.

As far as "fiddly" is concerned.  Almost all good and satisfactory results in modeling are the product of much more "fiddly" than the normal modeler is willing to expend.

In any event, I'd save these for the foreground if good leaves can be accomplished with a little experimentation.

The ngineering trees are very intriguing but the image examples they show are very Web 1.0 unfortunately.

There are also these - http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/Scenic___Tree_frames.html.  Not etched, they look like white metal castings that would be flexible.  The etched leaves and foliage are nicely done, though I have yet to actually use them in a scene.  The bare trees?  Well, they're two dimensional now matter how you fold them and, IMO, not suitable for foreground use given their Gumby bendy quality.  They should be great at the backdrop, positioned 1/2" or so for a relief effect.

I worked with an artist once who did layered paintings on glass plates sandwiched together.  His work was small and easy to light and the effect had a novel 3D effect that people gobbled up.  The cost might be prohibitive, but I'd like to experiment with scaling that idea up to see what effect one could get at the backdrop without it looking like what it would be - 2D stand-ups printed on acetate or some such material.
