How to remove roof on MT Heavyweight (Lowell Smith) passenger cars?

I have some of the custom-painted MT heavyweight cars done by Lowell Smith, like the business coach (mine is #99 SP&S)
I have fiddled with them a bit, and I do not see how to remove the roof or body.

I would like to get in there and put in a Rapido Easy Peasy lighting kit, but I don't want to break the car.

Does anybody know if these actually come apart?

Oh Boy,  I get to answer a question from Max.

I did the same thing.  I got mine off by using my fingernail at the one end of the car. A little upward pressure and  a gap begins to appear. Once it does you can work your nail or a toothpick around the rest of the roof.

Be advised that you have to file the sides of the Easy Peasy circuit board to get it to fit into the clerestory roof.

It snaps into the observation (or business car) body the same as the standard obs roof.  Start working it up at the vestibule end.

Thanks folks!  I tried it, and indeed, it does separate just fine with a fingernail at one end.  I was afraid to
slip an Xacto into the joint and pry, because if they were glued or otherwise didn't come out, I would make a mark
and these are beautiful custom-painted cars.
