The wife and I stayed up until 3 this morning to catch the yearly CP Holiday Train making it's way across Indiana. Here it is stopped at NS' Elkhart Yard for a crew change and servicing. This was my first time catching the train and it was definitively worth staying up for.

The old WM "Doctor's Office" at Hillen Station.  Not long before Chessie the Knife tore it down.  What I wouldn't give to know what became of those stainless steel letters.

This car is currently on my railroad. Anyone recognize the circular object above the placard holder? Is it a vent? [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Philip, were the red Santa Fe cabooses being used as shoving platforms, or static display, or being used as real cabooses where crewmen could go inside?  One of the things that I miss seeing the most is a freight train with at least one caboose.
