If you have ever seen any of Mark 4's products you know how high the quality can go.The things I have gotten from him are as good as injection molding.

Though I would hope Shapeways prices would be a bit lower. :D

Good for them, it's certainly an up and coming technology and they have a pretty nice model...

However, I bet miniatures are a "minature" part of their business and they are going to be investing in selling more Iphone cases and related stuff.  I actually have a pretty damn good idea for a non-model RR product to make there and need to get a prototype made...

$30 million is quite a vote of confidence, indeed. Good for them... and good for us, opening a world of possibilities to print the stuff you want. Once some of us learn the CAD part of it, of course.
