Ummm... those are the protos for the schemes TW is doing.

Yes, I know....and your point that we're buying foobs. (in some cases)

My point is...noted, but there's nothing else close available.   Except from an imaginary company with imaginary friends.   So, bring it on!  I've yet to not buy a gon that was era-relevant and somewhat close to reality wrt  length, ride height, etc.   You'll get my business, promise.

Still waiting on those Autoflood II's....seriously would love to buy them.   8)

There are more accurate models on the drawing board than ANYTHING out in production today!

To be honest, I only have one or two more gons in mind... just waiting on things to improve before pulling the trigger.  Lots of better things to do in the meantime...

It's an Autoflood III BTW... not a II :P

Well, the drawing board alone seldom seldom yields results in our model railroading world.

In the meantime, I'm throwing some money Pat's way.   And I'll look forward to the day when *these* are the worst foobs I have on my roster.   8)

Robbman's post was very helpful.  And didn't spew opinions for no reason.

Trainworx picked a prototype, is offering some prototype schemes (GN & BN) right off the bat and is using the tooling to offer other "close" models.  That's the way money should be made in this business.

I'm not in the business, but I completely agree with you.   And while my post was *somewhat* in jest, let's be honest....Robbman hasn't had a reputation for having much leeway on his stance about foobies.    Guess I detected some heir of "jab" to his post and maybe I was wrong about that.   My apologies to Robbman for that.   Really, I don't disagree with what he's saying.  But, I'm not getting any younger either so you just have to make due with what you get in many instances.

Heck, within 20 minutes of receiving Pat's e-mail I had researched and hyperlinked almost every road number offered for the four roadnames I placed my reservations for. (plus the Conrail one to see how far they roamed, which turned out...not far enough best I can tell.  ;)  )    But had *I* posted that, it would be a slamfest and a bunch of people telling me "these aren't Thrall's" and that they know more than I do....which I'll tell you up front I know just about zilch about all this.   I am very interested in it and enjoy the research though.   And truthfully I like having Robbman around to correct me when I screw up.      I'm just afraid he's gonna start sending me a bill.   :scared:

I'm not that concerned - this is closer than anything we're likely to get.

But it is fantastic to see the prototypes and know the differences!

My wallet: *****.

Doesn't have to be. They're wrong for CR/PC. But at least this is closer than the 46' "G43" made by We'llGetItRightIfWeFeelLikeItRail...
