The only really good discounts I see from Walthers are in their printed flyers which they mail to me every couple of months (or is it monthly?).  Those sometimes (but not very often) have some truly mind-boggling bargains.

Agreed, and I'm in HO

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

The Walthers passenger cars are over 50% off.  Not too surprising, is it?  I cannot imagine passenger trains in old, lesser modeled roads would be big sellers.  So, Kudos to Walthers for offering them to us (and they do look nice on the LHS shelves, at least to me)  That said, it might sadly reinforce their committment to stay a bit away from N, based on this clearance sale.

My LHS has typically offered 20% off, and when Walthers offers 10-25% off in their flyers, added that discount to the price, so I can get this stuff well below normal prices.  Should check your LHS if anything interests you.

FWIW, their Difco dumpers are going for cheap. Many are marked as discontinued, so may as well get them while they're still available, before the eBayers start charging double list for OOP stuff.

Too bad they didnt have the MP 3 pack set, its the only one I'm missing.
Attempting to model a modern Southern Pacific based in 2015/2016...

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...
