Question About Atlas NE-6 Cabooses ?

Did any eastern or central railroads (other than in New England) use the Atlas NE-6 style of caboose? I'd like to get some, but probably not if they rarely made it out of New England.

Hmm... Kiz is assuming
the "NE" stands for New
England... does it...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Atlas did two versions of this caboose: one for the NH version and one as built for the NKP.

Obviously, the NH was used on successor roads, and the NKP cabs ended up on the N&W in various schemes (used mostly on ex-NKP and ex-Wab lines).

Other roads had similar cabs (I think Atlas did the homework well on these models)

Mark... are you sure about the NKP?
I always thought the NE-6 was "close"....  but the roof details were not right for the NKP...

just curious...

Not sure about the roof details on the NKP version, but I believe it is correct for Clinchfield.

Some of the shortline roads in the northeast, outside of New England, acquired the P-S 1944 caboose.   Whether they were acquired second-hand or bought directly, I don't know.  Atlas has released all of the roads that had this prototype.  It would be easier to review their product pages to see the roster.

I am sure they did a "NKP  version" - will need to compare to photos in my books to say if they are absolutely correct!  :)
