Walthers is having a track sale. Atlas C55 flex track is $4 a piece. Looks like I will need to stock up for my new layout.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that looked at that and went "that's a sale?!?",

It does pay to shop around and find the better prices since they usually beats Walthers "sale" price.

If one needs several pieces of C55 flex MBK has a 25 piece  bulk pack for $79.99($3.19 per section in bulk) or if one uses C80 then a 20 piece bulk pack for $54.99(or $2.75 per section in bulk).

The bulk track per section price is less then Walther "sale".

What folks forget is that these flyers are not for the purpose of Walther's to compete with online retailers.  The flyers are meant as a sales tool for the Walther's brick & mortar dealer network.

Probably the exception to the rule.

It's kinda cool that they deviated from the same thing quarter after quarter,
year after year...the same thing in N on there.

And what Walther's seems to forget is they do compete with online retailers. Brick & mortar stores competes with online retailers. I went about 6 months ago to my LHS and asked if they had a product, they didn't. Then the guy pulls out the Walther's big book and quotes me the price in the book. For the price in there, I could've bought what I was looking for and a few other accessories with shipping and still come in less. The other thing the flyer showed me is an increase in the normal price of the products across the board, something that's concerning in and of itself,

Phil,

I know what you're saying.

Given Walther's buying power if they wanted to compete with online retailers they could undercut all online retailers... All of them.

BUT, they know who butter's their bread at this point, and that's the brick & mortar shops.

Brick & mortar shops can't price items at the same level as the deepest discounting online retailers and expect to stay in business on those margins.  They can't do it.  That's why they don't do it.

I just can't afford any longer to buy at the retail prices at the
LHS. Thank God for MB Klein !!! I am making less than half
of what I made when I could do that in the early and mid
2000's. My wife is the main bread winner. Doesn't fly.
