Just an update:
I printed a bunch of the plans out to sketch up the scenery and industry layout. After a few attempts, I think I narrowed down the city area to be the lower right portion of the layout. The streets will fall off behind the corn syrup disterbution center at the center of the layout. The spur at the center of the layout will be used as a team track/transloading site while the upper left will be a furnature warehouse. I'm still trying to determine what to do with the lower left tracks.

Anyway, this design will allow me to focus on several key scenes that I had wanted to include:
1. Lighted indistrial area with detailed roadway and sidewalk with chainlink fence seperating the roadway from the tracks.
2. An elevated roadway leading to an overpass over the tracks.
3. Prominant placment of the corn syrup distribution plant in the same general layout as the Framingham plant.
4. Use of some building already built that will fit into the layout.
5. Extensive use of defoliated trees and underbrush.
6. Ability to change eras on the fly by use of older buildings except the corn syrup plant, which will be removable.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away
