John,

Thanks for all of your work in running The Railwire and many thanks to Tom for stepping up to keep it alive! It is scary to learn how close it came to shutting down. I don't know what I would do without the connections that I have made on this forum. There really isn't a viable alternative out there.

Thanks again to John and Tom.

Best wishes, Dave

Numerous bars of "For he's a jolly good fellow" to John for these many years of charitable service; and kudos to Tom for assuming leadership of such an important venue (and for fixing my log-in, I was afraid I'd been banned in the turnover).

Not much can be added to what's already been said.  Thanks to John and best wishes for progress on the layout.
Thanks to Tom for taking the torch.

Wow! To almost have lost something so great is a sobering thought. John, I know exactly how you feel and what part of your personal life has been given to all of us A$$Hats so we have a place to interact. For that, I thank you.

Tom, I would like to thank you for stepping up and keeping TRW alive.

I also wanted to pass on my thanks to John and Tom.  Never met either one of you in person, nor anyone else on here either, but this is a great site for every model railroader out there and has helped me so much over the last several months.  Just wanted to let you know that all your hard work is greatly appreciated!  John - Good luck in your future modeling work and look forward to seeing some pics, and Tom - Thanks for stepping up to keep us all connected and helping the new guys like myself out!

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

John I hope you will be staying around. I'm a bit curious, when did TRW turn from a labor of love to just labor?

Tom is a great candidate. Lord knows if he didn't take it over it would have ended up with ED and the CRHS hoards.

Speaking of, for someone who could definitely use a source of historical documentation, records, etc... I don't remember filling out a membership card for you there buddy! How have we never extorted a membership out of you yet? Lol.

This is a great forum and I'm always checking the boards daily to think of not having the Railwire :o I don't want to even imagine that! Thanks Tom and thanks John for all the hard work I hope you get time to enjoy building your layout. I'm starting to post a little more now that I'm making rapid progress on my layout but I have been a member of RW for several years now and have learned so much on here by reading the posts and asking questions. Thanks again 8)
