I attended the open house hosted by Rick & Linda Spano and the Sceniced and Undecided Railway. It was the most n scale equipment I've seen under one roof (50% CP). Great scenery and lots of animation. Well worth visiting. I believe it is open again tomorrow.  http://www.modelrailroadopenhouse.com/

David Smith was also there with his James River Branch. Photos don't due this layout justice. It is an amazing piece of artwork. It was also good to meet David and discuss his work.

It was great meeting Bob as well as Larry "Blazeman." What completely blew me a way was a couple that drove out from Chicago just to see my layout. You could have knocked me over with a feather--it was probably the single most rewarding thing to happen to me that I can recall. Pretty strange to think of someone driving almost 800 miles to see a 15" x 36" object...

It was a great day to 1) meet Dave, 2) see his James River Branch....the photos do not do it justice, and the compactness of the setup just makes you shake your head, and 3) to meet Rick and Linda while viewing their S&U.

Rick treated all to a fireworks display on the layout. Most importantly, the trains ran flawlessly.
