MT passenger trucks and FV wheels ?

Thinking about changing my passenger fleet(s) to FV metal wheel sets. Will these work with MT trucks ? (and, for that matter - older Riverossi trucks) and what size would be correct for both Lt wt and Hw tw equipment ?

Any help appreciated.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

On proto I'm pretty sure 36" is the correct diameter for all of them.

However, the older MTL passenger trucks were designed back in Kadee's (MT's) 33" fits all days, so they were designed for 33" wheelsets. I don't know if 36" wheels "work" in these trucks - hopefully someone will comment. ;D

Of course the new MTL HW passenger truck uses the new MTL 36" wheels.

IIRC, MTL uses 0.540" axles, which FVM does offer in various wheel sizes.

The old MT passenger trucks will only take a 33" FVM wheel as the break shoes won't let you put a proper 36" wheel in.  The new passenger trucks being offered on the RPO's WILL take the correct 36" FVM wheels.  Make sure on both of these, you get the MT axle length or they won't work.

I've replaced all my passenger car wheels with FVM wheels and have had no problems.

They do, but you have to remove the brake shoes.  That's what IMRC is doing on the current passenger cars - they utilize the new plastic 36" MTL wheels in the existing MTL passenger trucks with the brake shoes removed.
