Rain or no rain, had to get some shots of the CRHS special:























And off they go towards Harrisburg on the Port Road.

The best vantage point for catching this train was by the bald eagle (I think it's a railfan):

David.  Now that's funny.  I had several people taking photos of the phototakers while the train stopped for a crew change.

Thanks for those great shots, Bob.  The trip was truly awesome.  Russ, Sean and the rest of the CRHS Gang did a great job of organizing this trip and really pulling it off with style.  Dave Foxx and I had a blast car hosting, and it was great to meet yet more denizens of the Railwire Universe.

After a very long day, I'm home safe at last...  Maybe pictures soon... maybe tomorrow...

I waited for you at St Denis until about 9.  Now I know why you didn't show.  Lucked out at Perryville.  It quit raining just before the train arrived and started after it left.

That's O.K. Carl.  You know what they say "S*** happens".  You did miss 3 trains (in the pouring rain) within 5 minuts at St Denis.

Because there were several standing in the gauge of the NEC  :-X, hence why some of us were taking photos of them! lol  ::)  ;D
