How to figure scale!

Ok,Got an oddball question.Say I want to build a 1/29 scale Diorama of some kids playing with a 1/8th scale RC truck.How would i figure up the true scale of the 1/29 scale 1/8th scale truck in relation to me being 1/1 scale?Add the 29 and 8 or multiply the 29 and 8?

multiply the denominators: 29*8=232..so 1/232 scale.  Wow, a z scale car would work!
