70T offset side triple hoppers

So it is 1948ish and Erie has about 1500 70T hoppers. Would these be used for hauling coal and would they be mixed in with shorter 55T hoppers? Or would they be used for specialized service?

I see they were used in Cleveland where iron ore was unloaded:

But that looks like gravel in them not coal.

So do I mix them in with a regular everyday coal train?

Yes and yes...  as an aside, in the photos of the triple and quad bay cars... that's coal, most definately not gravel.
