Quick dumb intermodal question

Looking for clearance height for double stacks. Section of the layout has several bridges and I don't want to end up with a layout that is like the East end of the Boston line where double stacks 'aint allowed.

I have 2" at 25' N and think its sufficient as I believe max height is 19' from bottom of the well.

For some reason 22'6" from the rail head rings a bell.  But I'm not an expert, I just play one on TV...

I can't remember the exact dim's, but I did a lot of "trial and error" with double stacks and my single portals (on curves to boot)

I had to "adjust" the portal height (Woodland Scenics) up about 3/16" or a tad more for the double stacks, and "off-set" them just a tad for the 89' flats that I wanted to run.

All is well, and it just takes a little time getting everything just right so there's no "accidents"
A "western modeler" that also runs NS.

22'6" should be the "real world" height.  However, many models sit higher than they should, so they end up being a bit higher than that.

NTrak makes a gauge that should cover 99% of what is out there,

24-25 scale feet should clear virtually everything out there.

I don't have any well cars anymore, that's why I'm asking for those who may have them or have built for them

For info, as scale clearances are usually a bad idea...

20' 6" is the plate clearance height from the top-of-rail for high-cube double-stacks, Auto-Maxes, and the 20'2" tri-levels (not made in N scale though)

I replaced the track on my Kato bridges with ME code 55 bridge track primarily for cosmetic reasons but that extra 4 inches of clearance sure does my heart good when I see them approach the bridge.
