Looks like South Mountain west of Frederick.  I'd have to count the trees to be sure!

Too bad it's spoiled by the disco paint scheme on that loco, but still phenomenal.

I told ya, I told ya, I'm saving up for a true C&O loco! :) ;)

What is the backdrop/sky?

The backdrop is photoshop. :D This was taken on the end of my layout where the actual backdrop runs out, so...

The mountain is Afton mountain west of Charlottesville VA.

Thanks for comments guys.

This week finds me back at work on River City, which has acquired its tallest building to date, the Merchants Bank and Trust.  This is another Custom Model Railroads kit.

The Merchants Bank and Trust skeleton.

The Fidelity and Guarantee Co. has company.

The front doors and window detail.  Yes, those are blinds in the windows.

The Merchants Bank and Trust from the street.

Unrelated note, I've started using Flikr instead of Photobucket, so it may take me a bit to figure out the photo sizing...

Tow, Tow, Tow Your Boat ...

I worked on my new Towboat project. The towboat is a one-piece resin waterline hull with a brass superstructure. The entire boat was designed from the one photo I had of a towboat I liked. The barges are a one piece casting also.

Not installed yet Richie. I still have some more things to do to get it show ready and I'll add it last. I do have it in the sprue. I am also waiting on some metal castings that should arrive this week.

Got some more benchwork and worked on a new section of the layout this week...but no photos. With doing the major overhaul on the speeder the models have really gone to the back burner. My wife seems to get upset when I spent $500 a week on both, so she said I had to pick one....so $500 a week on the speeder seems reasonable right?

However did get quite a bit of work done on the A car this week.
- Installed 6 sheets of 23/32 plywood for the floor. Total floor area is 6'x9'
- Finished install of the brake canisters.
- Finished install of brake canister for clutch
- Installed 12" EMD steel bell.

I WANNA SEE THE BOAT MOVIE!

Yes... I'm in N... Also HO and 1:1
