Makes sense that this misuse came from the art circles as in my decades of hanging around in model railroading and plastic model kits (automotive, armor and aircraft) I have never encountered any modeler using the word acrylic when referring to thermoplastics in general. The most widely used generic term is styrene.

Yes, some small items.  They look fine.  Eventually I will try some larger items where any layering effect would be visible, but not in the near future.

So has anyone received an item printed in FXD?

I have two shells confirmed "shipped" as of yesterday. I have the same shells in FUD with nothing done to them other than a Bestine soak, so it'll be a good opportunity for an A-B comparison. Stand by.
