This Thursday, we concentrate on NOPSI 914, the first car "modernized" by New Orleans Public Service, Inc. Not visible was the change in the interior from light olive drab for the walls and boxcar red for the seats to sky blue walls and natural wood seats. Interestingly, the changes made were later reversed and others made to the roof and trolley poles.

No. 914 at the foot of Canal St., awaiting passengers. Open doors show new doors replacing the old wooden ones.

Side view of same car, same location. Unfortunately on the shadow of a building.

Taken out by the Canal carbarn, No. 914 is in the sun this time. This car retained the old wood and canvas roof with ventilators.

Still in New Orleans next week as well.

Whooosh!

Shot at my old haunt, the Edgewood MARC station in Harford County, Friday after Thanksgiving.
He was going pretty slow, probably around 80 or 90.  I think there was track work going on somewhere.

A handful of late ones. Was in Melbourne for a few days this week - home of one of the world's largest tram systems...

One of the Bumble Bee Alstom C2 trams used on route 96 and leased for 3 years from the town of Mulhouse in France
