The human figures are the only thing not perfectly realistic. Great work. (Well, perhaps the wheel flanges are a tad large...)

Yeah, really good.  Get rid of the figures and you have a great photo.

Well, aside from the figures, if you want to get really, really picky, those springs on the trucks look too skinny. And then there's that big Kadee trip pin, but no brake hose. It looks like a bit of the layout edge appears in the lower left corner, where the pavement ends... but that's only if you want to get really, really picky. I've never done anything even remotely this good, and likely never will, so I'm probably not in a position to be critical of what is, by all accounts, superb modeling. I was actually most impressed, oddly, by the weathering on the white sedan, far right.

Actually, so was I.
It struck me as having a very "out in the Texas sun for a # of years" look. I've been trying to
identify it, but without success so far.

As scale figures go, though, they're not badly done.  The guy kneeling behind the other has a shiny pant leg, but otherwise, they're in good proportion, in believable poses, and crisply painted.  He also wisely has them facing away from the camera, since HO scale faces usually aren't very realistic (to say nothing of N scale ones!)

The autos are outstanding, and I noticed the skinny truck springs right off myself.  That's one of those form vs. function trade offs.  Fatter springs wouldn't function, and cast in springs would lack dimension, so you compromise.

The other thing that caught my eye is the way the brick curtain walls don't appear to be sitting on their concrete frames.  But that's a Walthers thing, and I'm not sure how easily a modeler could correct it.

Lee, are you under the impression that the photo is HO scale?

If this was an O scale forum, I'd expect pictures like that on a weekly basis.

Meh...The cracks in the sidewalk don't look realistic.  :P

That's some terrific work.
