Reading Paint Colors

Question for Ed, or any other Reading fan here.  Since I can't seem to find any of the older Atlas Reading GP-7 's (older meaning early 50's PullmanReading Green paint).  I've ordered and received decals for them.   Gonna get some undec GP-7's and do my own.  My question is what brand/color would you recommend I use.  Pullman Green, black mixed with a green, etc.

Bob,

I'll have to do the same thing. I have seen some nice models done first sprayed black, then pullman green.

I wish I could be of more help, but I've never painted anything in the old reading paint scheme.

Sadly, the person I'd have asked passed away this year.

Thanks all.

Ed - The decals I received are for the last Reading green locos.  Should have read the Microscale listing better.  I don't need them.  You interested?

If you have Microscale 60-691 the early and late solid green schemes are on the same sheet. Modelflex Pullman green is best for a straight from the factory finish.
