Wozzers! I too recieved my sleepers from BLW and yes the note about the decals is on the order summary slip. These are bar none the best N Scale passenger cars I have sseen since the old MRC Rowa Con Cor C&O style cars. One minor complaint, the Rio Grande paint scheme should have been on a fluted side car. Pickey Pickey I know especially since a few of the roadnames do not really match the car type. This car features the beltline strip below the windows found on the prototype P R R cars a feature the old Rivarossi N car obmitted ,probably because they thought it would be hard to pinstripe. Well what really sold me on the Walthers car is that the two fine gold stripes on the Pennsylvania car are actually there running just above and below the beltrail strip. These are the first N passenger cars to feature the interrior bulkhead and vestibule door inside the platform. Some makers like Kato feature the open end, but no interrior bulknead. Yes there is glass in the door window on the non vestibukle end, a feature Kato has never offered, the old Rowa cars did. The various paint jobs that I ordered seem correct to my eye,NP Two Tone Green is right on, the Harbour Mist Gray on UP is not too ligt or too dark. My Rock Island Fluted Side car is very nice although I do miss the Stainless Steel effect of KATO. I may have to buy a couple of Southern cars to use with my LL SR E -8's. The working diaphrams are way better then the American Limited ones on IM Centrailia cars. Two cars coupled together had no trouble going through tight switches in my freight yard where they would normally not be run, they were both pushed and pulled, there was always just enough gap between the diaphrams. The blackened metal wheels are pretty free rolling. These cars were worth waiting for although I do feel Walthers could have been offering N Scale passenger cars several years ago when they started their HO Line. KATO eat your heart out. Con Cor you have competition for the new model of the year award your Budd cars recieved. Up next Rapido Trains of Canada, they are going to be mighty hard to beat,but it might just be a tie.
