Walther's new 10-6 sleepers

I received 2 of the 10-6 Pullman's today but without decals.  Got them from BLW.  I know that Walther's is going to send the decals to dealers and I tried to e-mail BLW asking if they were going to send them in the future (using blwnscale@optonline.net) and it got shot back saying it couldn't be delivered.  Anyone know the correct e-mail address?  If not, I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Hi Bob..

According to my the order conformation I got from BLW it says in there that the decals are coming to them shortly and as soon as they have them they will be available to us.

Right out of my order conformation.

Quote
NOTES:   IMPORTANT:  Please note that there are NO DECALS included with the Walthers passenger cars at this time.  They are delayed ... but WILL BE AVAILABLE to you shortly
.

Hope this helps

Allen.....

Wozzers! I too recieved my sleepers from BLW and yes the note about the decals is on the order summary slip. These are bar none the best N Scale passenger cars I have sseen since the old MRC Rowa Con Cor C&O style cars. One minor complaint, the Rio Grande paint scheme should have been on a fluted side car. Pickey Pickey I know especially since a few of the roadnames do not really match the car type. This car features the beltline strip below the windows found on the prototype P R R  cars a feature the old Rivarossi N car obmitted ,probably because they thought it would be hard to pinstripe. Well what really sold me on the Walthers car is that the two fine gold stripes on the Pennsylvania car are actually there running just above and below the beltrail strip. These are the first N passenger cars to feature the interrior bulkhead and vestibule door inside the platform. Some makers like Kato feature the open end, but no interrior bulknead. Yes there is glass in the door window on the non vestibukle end, a feature Kato has never offered, the old Rowa cars did. The various paint jobs that I ordered seem correct to my eye,NP Two Tone Green is right on, the Harbour Mist Gray on UP is not too ligt or too dark. My Rock Island Fluted Side car is very nice although I do miss the Stainless Steel effect of KATO. I may have to buy a couple of Southern cars to use with my LL SR E -8's. The working diaphrams are way better then the American Limited ones on IM Centrailia cars. Two cars coupled together had no trouble going through tight switches in my freight yard where they would normally not be run, they were both pushed and pulled, there was always just enough gap between the diaphrams. The blackened metal wheels are pretty free rolling. These cars were worth waiting for although I do feel Walthers could have been offering N Scale passenger cars several years ago when they started their HO Line. KATO eat your heart out. Con Cor you have competition for the new model of the year award your Budd cars recieved. Up next Rapido Trains of Canada, they are going to be mighty hard to beat, but it might just be a tie.                                                                                                                                       Nate Goodman (Nato). Anyone know how many cars names/numbers are on the decal sheet.  Will current available decals (micro-scale, etc.) work on these cars to get extra names?  Got 2 and 4 more on the way (yeah, I forgot I ordered them and duped ordered).

I too am wondering what the decal sheets will be like, will there be seperate sheets for each road name offered ? Will they include railroad names for letter boards? Most likely there will be just one sheet with all car names and or numbers (SP & NP) for all the cars ,but as asked how many names for each road ?   When the first runs of KATO smoothside cars came out that had no car names or numbers I used various Micro Scale sheets for various roads I purchased, B&O ,UP, and PRR among others. I found correct car names and numbers on the Pennsylvania sheets, but I'll be darned if I can remember what the set (sheet) numbers are or were.                                                                                                                                 Nate Goodman (Nato).
