Hi all,

Well, it ain't much to show, but, in the last week or so, I picked a couple of small sections of the layout and painted and ballasted the track to add a few more areas that can now be photographed without showing completely unfinished scenery.  The ballast in this staged shot is still drying ;)

I told myself I wouldn't post any pictures until I got some decalling done...

So there ya go.

I did finish all the work for the Kato openside hopper.  The vibration casting I made look like crap, but I learned a lot for the next one.  Hopefully I'll get the decals made this week. I think I have all of the artwork done, just need to size and arrange.  Then I'll have another car to decal, great.

Worked on the Sanger section of the new layout this weekend. Roughed in where structures are going with mock-ups from the LDE. Trying new scenery ideas and loving the clean look of how this is progressiing.

I received my package from "Sky top Jim" this week and "battle has been joined" on the creation of a Canadian National Skyview lounge - sleeper.....

Lots to do but a good start - shells are in very good shape for resin casts.

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

The crew in the back shops at Hagerstown have been busy these last two weeks working on restoring two locomotives that will shortly be returning to their home rails.

The job involved getting one of the largest engines the shop has worked on, and one of the smallest, fully operational and in compliance with new District Commerce Commission (DCC) regulations.

First was a Norfolk and Western 2-8-8-2.

Followed by a diminutive two truck Shay type, which has yet to be painted and lettered.

Both engines have been carefully inspected, and extensively tested on the Western Maryland's western lines.  The mechanical department has signed off on all the work, so both engines will be released to their owner during the coming week.

I haven't modeled anything in months because I've been so tired. Got a C-PAP machine last week and I'm already feeling better. Maybe I'll start feeling like a human being again. I was stopping breathing 19 times an hour, and for up to 2 1/2 minutes at a time. No wonder I was tired. Sleep Dr. said I was lucky I didn't wake-up dead. :o If you've got someone to tell you if you snore real loud, or snort every few minutes, you might think about a sleep study. Nobody to tell me but the Guinea Pig. ;D

Man, now I feel guilty for not doing JACK this weekend. Other than eyeballing that GP35 I've been working on.

But just that, eyeballing it (only...).
