do you have the old post on how you made the chain link.. the old post is gone. I've found some mesh at an art supply store that I need to check for scale but I still have not found anything that's to scale.
I can't find a copy of the thread itself, but basically here's what I did.
1. Get some chiffon:

http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/tools/t_45mm-rotary-cutter.aspx ) and cutting mat to cut the chiffon into strips on the diagonal, so the threads are running in a diamond pattern like chain-link. (Scissors will deform the diamond pattern and probably create a ragged edge.)
3. Spray-paint the strips gray, to color and stiffen them. I hung them from one end with small spring clamps (clothespins would work as well) and sprayed them in mid-air, to avoid the possibility of them getting glued to a surface by the paint. Use a light touch, here; it's easy to get too much paint on the chiffon and start filling it in. But once it's painted, the chiffon stiffens up considerably, and becomes more durable, much like fiberglass window screen except with a finer mesh.
4. Use CA to attach the strips to the fenceposts. If you need to splice two strips end-to-end, just attach the first strip, slice it off flush with the last post, then start the next strip at that same post and continue--the overlap is almost invisible.
5. Profit!
