Here is the second weathering project I've done. There are details on the web page and I would love to hear what you think of the job thus far.

Looks pretty good, and side two looks better since it appears to be more subtle.  *I'm not sure* that the lower 15% of the car would have that strong of a band of grime, however, but some nice drybrushing nevertheless.  The floor looks good.  Much improvement over your first one!

Yes, side two I started to get a little chalks on it.  I also thought it was too much on the bottom but I'm trying some styles I red about on a different forum Zealot by Doctorwayne.  I figure I need to learn the different ways of painting before I can paint a prototype.  You'll be glad to hear my next style is doing a salting effect.  The floor of this model was a test for doing the undercoating of the next model that will be a wooden boxcar with a salt effect and aged wood like to floor.  I'm not sure if I'll need to do carving of the wood, that was just for this model  ;D

Maybe along the bottom you could go over what you have with a color real close to what the car is painted?

Lee,
I have an issue with the "free" space I posted the page on, I've used all the monthy bandwidth and now it's not working anymore.  I'm looking onto getting a new site up for my stuff now.  I've added the photos to my photo space on Microsfott at http://cid-705b846fd027c221.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!705B846FD027C221!108/.  I've done some pore work on this since I had an "issue" with the AIM powders.  The car is much darker now.  I'll post new photos soon.

Ok, I've got a better site running now and best it's free for now.  You can see all my work on this and others (only one model for now) at http://rbdhd.t35.com/index.htm
Thanks for looking,

I've done an updated web page for the second project and would like to know what you think of the way the model looks now.  I noted a few error I need to fix on the model but I would like to know what everyone thinks.  I also have updated the site to be a little better looking.  The page is located at http://rbdhd.t35.com/proj2/inProgress.htm.  I need to update the menus as they don't work exactly like I want but that's to much like work right now.

Thanks for the kind comments.  At this point I'm not sure I want to do anything more with this one.  There was a problem with
one area I was trying out how the powders would stick to Dollcote when it's still wet and when I did the test the Dollcote was to wet and I put down to much powders.  The real problem was when I tried to remove the powders with the brush cleaner that was really turpentine and it washed off the powders as well as the color of the car.  I then needed to cover that up with a darker color on the car then I wanted.  Now I'm not sure what I can do with this model at this point.  It's not a really nice model I purchased on eBay for what I've been doing, learning to weather.  I may try to sell it on eBay to get it off my desk and see if it's liked.  I wanted to hear any comments before I put it on bid.
