Can I really call this progress?

Where once a mighty (yet incomplete) bridge stood, there is now only dusty water...

In order to resolve some problems with my module, I had to remove the bridge. Unfortunately, the bridge was glued into the module at the ends. Fortunately, a pull-saw made short work of slicing through the connections. With the thin kerf of the saw, there should be little or no filler needed when the bridge is re-installed.

My next act of vandalism repair involved using a rotary tool to grind some channels into the top of the bridge deck, so I can hide the wires a bit better.

You can see the bit I used at the upper right of the picture--it worked quite well. The plan is to run the wires through the channels and down the holes, then glue 0.005" styrene over the top of the channels. Hopefully the thin styrene covers won't be visible once the deck is repainted and ballasted.

I'm just glad that, after months of dealing with one [DELETED] thing after another, I'm getting back to workin' on the railroad... :)

Keep the faith, Zox!  Sometimes ya gotta take a step back (rework things) to get moving in the right direction.
