Back to Bi-State Transit Authority of St. Louis on April 18, 1964, again.

This fascinating and unusual station was near the outer end on the Hodiamont line, which was once a steam railroad.

PCC 1795 trundles through Gaslight Square, a dining and entertainment district that was very quiet in the morning hours.

PCC1795 at the reversing loop at the outer end of the Hodiamont line.

Next week, a Baltimore trolley and a CSS&SB interurban.

Was out hunting near the Lurgan line one day in the mid 70's and managed to get these shots.  Sure didn't get anything else what day.

This crossing was located near Leesburg (Leesburg Crossroads), PA a couple blocks from my late uncle's house.

At the Presque Isle ore docks.  Early 80's.  IIRC TORCO was Toledo Ore Railroad Company.

Fascinating stuff as always everyone. Been a while since I've posted any stuff from down under so here goes...

Smokin... a local Alco smokes it up at Port Adelaide on 8 January 2008

Light engines from a similar working a few days later, same location 11 January 2008

The newest main line unit in Australia - EMD AC Traction, 4400hp

G & W Bulldog parade - a light engine movement passes on the main line, while 5 units wait to depart the yard with a grain train 11 January 2008

Not quite Powder River - 10,000 tonnes of Hunter Valley coal heads for the port on 28 December 2007

Cheers, Wes

Glad to see you back posting photos, Wes. On that first, Alco, photo, is the trackage dual gauge (4'8.5" and 5'3")??

Well spotted Gregg - correct.

Unfortunately the broad gauge track here has not seen a train for a year or more now and is unlikely to do so in the future.

Thanks for posting you early B & W stuff - very much appreciated.

Wes.

here's a shot of a light engines move east about to clear the HX interlocking in Halethorpe, MD.  the CPL's and the interlocking are gone.  the interlocking was moved 1 mile west and new Safe-trans signals installed to protect the plant.  i really dig the rear shot of the 45 carbody.
