Rail Joiners

Sorry, my wife made the original post for me. I was wondering how you get the N scale Atlas Rail Joiners apart? I figured you cut them apart instead of bending them based on my experience with plastic models. I am new at N scale and Atlas so do you just cut them apart with regular scissors, pliers, or metal cutters?

You can cut them with scissors, however, I use my Xuron rail nippers for good, clean cuts.  Bending the joiners to separate them will end up with burrs that will make using them difficult.
