For its first entry into HO, Mike's Train House (MTH) did a PRR K4s, a model done by at least 3 others before it. For its second foray into HO, MTH will produce an Erie Triplex or 2-8-8-8-2, offering it in three numbers plus one lettered Virginian. The VGN had a 2-8-8-8-4, but it was not the same dimensionally as the Erie version. Now really, how many modelers have a use for a 2-8-8-8-2 on their layouts? The real things couldn't generate enough steam to do anything but act as helper engines.
Too bad Bob Roselli (spikre) has been banned from from the Atlas forums, I'll bet he's carrying on something fierce about Erie triplexes!! ;D ;D ;D
