Chris...
Do you have any close ups around the shop building area??
Or close ups of LTV 1206 or LTEX 836 SW switchers?? {Left side of main photo}

Do you have any idea how the tracks are configured around the complex??

I also have them before going to LTEX while still at WCI:

And the shop area:

I uploaded a whole LTEX folder:

It is McDonald Steel in McDonald, OH. LTEX only uses the engine house, but keeps locomotives stored all around the mill. Here is the mill:

(BTW the white line across the top is the Erie mainline  ;D )

To the left is a storage area:

To the right is their shop and the junk yard:

TY Chris for the detailed information!!  ;)
I did a post on another site about possibly modeling LTEX.
Here's the link...I hope it's ok to post it??

I'm going to add the link here to the other site as well.  8)

Here are a few photos of some LTEX locomotives that I've seen here in Mississippi.

Hey Chris-thanks for the better pic of the 44T-I didn't think it was the same one I saw
but stranger things have happened.

I 1st discovered LTEX offhandedly by uploading a pic of one of their re-man tunnel motors I
caught at Sterling last year. Once uploaded, RRpic archives showed LTEX was "Larry's Truck
Electric." I thought that was an unusual name for a leasing co, so I googled it & came up with
this link (that may be below somewhere too) http://www.trainweb.org/lfnwfan/html/Larry's.htm

Anyways, that planted the seed for the idea of DDDX locos, & an "on layout" plant to reman them.
A good idea to use older paint schemes/locos that don't fit the railroad you're modeling, or even
older types like F's & early geeps. (who says they got scrapped?) For example, one that's on the
"future projects" workbench now in this mode is one of those old Athearn SW7 "calfs."-Tentatively,
I plan on doing it in the Chessie scheme (as per proto photo) & then doing a "paint out" of the B&O
logo & replacing w/DDDX. Gives it a 2nd chance at life, & good help for my future yard switchers.
(Chessie didn't scrap it as most thought-it went to DDD Remanufacturing!)

Oh yeah-what does "DDD" mean (if you haven't already figured it out) Donkey's Dirty Details-I
know that, & you know that, but the HO scale people on the future layout doesn't need to know
that.
I just thought it was a very good modeling concept.

They're not "Crown Victorias"-they're known
as "Police Interceptors"

Yeah that is the cool part about this place, there is so much odd ball stuff from far away RR's (too bad it wasn't all steam!) I live about 2 miles from here. LTEX also has another small place here in Warren where they work on traction motors. They flat bed them back and forth, no rails here. They do have a caboose & 25T out front though.

Some locomotives has been there forever and some change all the time. There are a lot of tunnel motors and they just got a bunch of NS/CR GP15-1's.

I'm wondering if a place like this will be on the History Channel railroad boneyards.
