OK, since you asked. I assume you are attempting to show the running boards (the correct name for "roofwalks") and placard boards on the door as weathered wood. If so, they should be almost black, not a light gray or tan. Go look at a bunch of photos on George Elwood's Fallen Flags site and you'll see what I mean.

Or, go look at Rich Yourstone's PRR insulated boxcar in the September 2005 Weathering Challenge on here to see what color weathered wood on freight cars becomes.

Also, the only boxcars I've ever seen with contrasting color ladders were on the Ferrocarril Unidos del Sureste in Southeastern México. Will this car be lettered FUS? Then the ladders should be white.
