It's Thursday again and this is a separate forum again. RailImages played "fruit basket turnover" with my photos, so let's hope I find the right ones today!

These are of the Everett Railroad, taken 40 years ago:

Next week, the CN and the GM&O.

the Everett photos are at Mt. Dallas - the lumber yard is still there.  the "Bud Schuster Bypass" around Everett crosses the ROW here and the ROW/yard area is still visible as a layer of cinders.  sadly, the trestle over the Juniata has been removed.  the north end of the bridge was the southern terminus of the Huntingdon and Broad Top.  the bridge was built by the PRR i believe.

I would have gotten this posted yesterday but I spent the entire day shoveling snow and trying to figure out how I would ever be able to get a compact car down a residential street that doesn't get plowed and is blocked by drifts up to 4' high.

Rio Grande M-68 class 4-8-4 #1804 leaving Denver, Colorado on a snowy January 1, 1940 with the 8 car Scenic Limited.  I've always felt that the D&RGW #1800 class 4-8-4 was one of the most beautiful steam engines made.  It's clean lines, symmetry and bulk make it very appealing.

D&RGW M-68 class 4-8-4 #1804 on February 21, 1938 in Denver, Colorado.

M-68 class 4-8-4 #1804 in Pueblo, Colorado on April 10, 1938.

This is the logo used in the late '30s as it appeared on the steam locomotive tender sides.  I've seen color photos from this era and the red, white and blue logo looks pretty sharp on the locomotives (this image is courtesy of the Signal Signs, Inc. website www.signalsigns.com).

I know its Friday, but I'm off and I have some time.

I posted these for SharkJJ the other day, and figured I'd share. They're from my trip to Altoona last year with a bunch of fellow asshats.

The business end of Juniata Shops:

Some supply cars along side the shops:

The engine deadline. Its not as bad as it seems, many of these were awaiting rebuilding, but I doubt this ex-PRSL (Pennsylvania Reading Seashore Line) GP38 will meet as happy a fate:

A truck that is one of the few remaining pieces of B23-7 1956:

And here's most of the rest of it:

Thats one of the body style Atlas is doing (note the chicken wire grills), so it's assured.
