Intermountain FT model paint stripping?

How easy is it to strip the paint on an Intermountain N-scale FT model?
Does 97% alcohol work (my stripper of choice)?
Are the windows glued or any other parts that need to come of the custom paint them?
Even if you did only some work on an IM FT, your comments are appreciated.

I used Scalecoat stripper to remove the paint on mine and it came off easily with no harm to the plastic.  There are many parts that will come off, however, so you must be very careful to keep track of them.  The first thing you need to do is remove the window and porthole glazing.  These are held in with a small amount of glue and will pop out easily.  Other parts that will come off are the diaphragm castings, horns, exhaust stacks and all grill etchings.  The small etchings on the dynamic brakes are very small and easily lost. (don't ask me why I know but Intermountain will send you replacements :).  I hope this helps.

Your warning on the small parts helps a lot since I use a plastic bottle with alcohol in it that has so much paint already that you cannot see anything and I would have lost most of the small parts.
