I've asked him to make a single car, but haven't heard back. I need at least one, as I saw three in Amtrak service. All three that I saw were BSB, though, and the two he's offering were both repainted BSB.
I'll order them anyway, though, as it isn't hard to change the names, MSD's Empire Builder lettering is an almost perfect match. And, if he doesn't offer BSB cars, it won't be hard to to paint one of these.
For those interested, here are the final colors for these, as determined from 1970s photos. Amtrak didn't buy any, and supposedly didn't lease them, but must have "borrowed" them on occasion. I saw 1170, 1172, and 1186 in Pasco, in the Empire Builder. Pictures of these are rare, though, so I have no idea if some were repainted.
