Atlas Speaker ready decoder. Master Silver series loco

Anyone install a DCC decoder in one of these?

I have one of the recent Atlas Master Silver Series HO MP15DC locos. I have several of the previous runs and all hand the standard 8 pin DCC ready decoders. This one says its sound ready and already has the speaker/s installed.  It is a totally different board.  At first I thought I was sold a used one with aftermarket  decoder installed.  Even the store I bought it from wasn't sure what happened as everything in the documentation and the website says its a basic Atlas 8 pin board AF1195-E001.   He took it back and I bought another one from a different vendor I know and trust. Same set up.   This was 18 months ago before I got big sick and there is still nothing out there on these.

I reached out to Atlas but haven't heard anything back on these.   There is no 8 pin port on these.  I don't want sound just DCC.

Any help is greatly appreciated

On the end opposite the speaker on the underside of the circuit board is the decoder socket.  Looks to be for a 21 pin DCC  decoder after the blanking plug is removed.

Yes, take the dummy decoder DC plug out from under the "light board" and take a photo of the dummy board's connector.

Yup, that sure isn't the 8-pin connector.  Manufacturer's documentation is sometimes lacking/incorrect.  You can buy non-sound DCC decoders with 21MTC interface.

See https://sbs4dcc.com/shop-by-decoder-interface/nem660-21mtc/  for 21MTC decoders (sound and non-sound).
