Erie Built MILW orange

I found half of an (A unit) of Life-Like MILW Erie built.  I'm not sure about investing in this, as it looks like the 'plain' later orange-black paint scheme never got applied, as they were withdrawn too early.

Can anyone confirm?

The Milwaukee Erie builds were painted in UP colors in 1960 or so, they weren’t withdrawn until the late 60s.

Lifelike didn’t make an Erie built in the freight scheme. Maybe you looked at a C Liner?

The Erie Builts were retired January 1963.

They wore several schemes 2 variations of the "Hiawatha" scheme, the Orange/maroon/black cigar band scheme from 1950-1955 and the UP Yellow scheme from 1955 until retirement.

As mentioned the later freight scheme was not one they ever wore.
The Railwire is not your personal army.

That explains it, must be a C liner then.  Still nice, but only the A part.
Always room for more... :D

If you're interested, I have two A-B sets of LL C Liners, undecorated, that I am ready to part with. NIB, never run.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
