I have an Athern Challenger with the tiny headlight burn't out. Is it hard to channge and can I put a brighter light in it? This may be one from the original run.

Ron Bearden recently did an exhaustive take apart on this loco, there might be some tips:

I have done this on a first run Challenger. It was a major PITA. I did deviate from Ron's excellent instructions by not removing the front engine. I carefully routed the wires up the thought the front end of the locomotive. This took many attempts and end the end I would follow Ron's instruction step by step next time.
Thanks Ron, I'm not sure I could have done this without your post.
