New ESU speaker with "Passive Radiator" w sound chamber

Group;
Has anyone actually heard the newest ESU speaker with the "Passive Radiator". Wondering if it improved some of the lower frequencies... A bit big for most N scale, but thought it might fit in an EM-1 tender as an example.

Kind regards,
Bill

There is a discussion about those on the LokSound group.io.

Pete:
Noted. On that ESU discussion about 50343 passive only speaker, they don't get around to discussing the speaker I am asking about, the next series, until the last response. Specifically "For a more rounded sound they've now developed the 50344/5/6/7 range, which has the Tang Band style enclosure with passive speaker, combined with what appears to be a traditional sugar cube style dynamic speaker."

I am curious about the 50344 etc range, not the speaker in that initial thread. At the risk of a bad pun, it sounds like a good speaker to use when we can get it to fit.

Thoughts?

Kind regards,
Bill

No, I don't have any specific comments about it. I just saw the thread on groups.io so I figured I  would post a link here.  Seems to me that both types are of similar passive radiator design, so the discussion will probably also encompass  53044.

I was not particularly interested in it because of its physical size.

Reaching out to John - any thoughts if this might fit in the large Bachmann tenders?
